War-rior

Doodling some BAMF lady, bastardized in every sense, I just pulled random historical things with no regard for accuracy. And a dog, everyone loves dogs.

Christmas Family Portrait (and friend)

Christmas doodles that I got framed for my family (and Nora) as presents. They loved it very much and I’m glad the effort finally turned out as I didn't finish it in time for Christmas the previous year. Staples has surprisingly nice printing I have to say.

Sub Colour Keys

So my student film is cranking along ever so slowly… threw in some colours keys to figure out direction and it really helped me get that bit of gusto I needed to feel prepared to tackle an animation test. Let’s see how this goes (fingers crossed!)

Sketchbook Doodles

Some doodles I do in class while I'm bored!

My yet unnamed siblings from mongolia... originally a story idea I had for 4th year but I decided to go for something a little more upbeat and simple : )

Another set of random siblings I scribbled. A little rebellious sister who wants to be 'hip' and thinks her brother is a bore. I wanted to design the brother as very clean cut but with a little bit of 'edge'. They both love music but in different styles; the sister is more new age and the brother likes a little more structure.

A random character that I liked so decided to explore expressions for her. She comes from a universe where the characters are born into archetypes: Hero, Princess, Knight, Villain, etc. This character (yet unnamed) was born a Princess but wants very much to be a Knight. I might explore this a little further with other archetype bending characters.

Puppy Love

Another piece at Cup O' Doodle! Messed around with two shapes this time and couldn't help but draw some dogs (my german shepherd Koda deeply inspired the derpy faced boy dog)

Stuffs and stuffs

Finally updating my blog with some drawings and stuffs. I've been drawing like made but keep forgetting to do something with my pile of scans!

Work from a children's show I worked on called 'The Beet Party'. All I can really show right now until they launch the episodes. As of now these are the only released episodes I worked on since I joined the team, the rest are in queue for release. For more information go here: http://www.facebook.com/TheBeetParty

Some old sketches I still like so i decided to post them anyways. I was going through an ethnic felt tip phase.

Some newer sketches (mostly) from top left to bottom right: a dancing gypsy fiddler that I've been experimenting in different styles with, Devlin from the x-factor, a zombie apocalypse schoolgirl, a little mongolian shaman boy, him and his sister and his sister and her deer/elk thing.

A giant wasp/bird thing for people to ride on, complete with saddle and orthographic rotation!

Some old lifedrawing stuff... but I still like them.

That's all for now but I'll try to update more consistently from now on! I have plenty more sketches in my sketchbook that need to be posted!

Arya Stark

Suffering quite a bit of Game of Thrones withdrawal... Some quick sketching at work; figured I'd have my take on grown up Arya Stark (please no spoilers, haven't read the books! )

Wet Poop Body

Took a little break during my internship to whip this together. Inspired by a line from the conversation I had with my girlfriend about whether I would kiss her if she re-incarnated as poop.

Study

A quick 15 min study I did at work while watching a really gorgeous video Nancy Bieman put HERE. Watch it if you have the time, definitely worth it!

Not 100% accurate to the actual photo but I hope I captured the feeling~ishness of it.

Action Analysis and update

Been a long while since I posted anything, it's been a pretty crazy semester so far...

This is actually an art history assignment but took opportunities to push it. Each painting is based roughly off of Klimt's famous pieces and tell the story of his life from birth to fame to golden years and finally death.

A pan done for layout class which fed into my action analysis here:
